Ingredients

- 1.5 cups Frijoles Volteados Negros Ducal ®
- 2 slices chopped bacon
- 1.5 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped white onion
- 4 pinches cumin powder
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 3 cups water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a simmer pot, place the oil, bacon and onion, fry until the onion is transparent.
- Add the beans and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and dissolve very well.
- Continue cooking for 5 more minutes, add and serve the soup accompanied by fried tortilla strips or nachos, cream, chipotle pepper and other complements of your preference.
