  • 1.5 cups Frijoles Volteados Negros Ducal ®
  • 2 slices chopped bacon
  • 1.5 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped white onion
  • 4 pinches cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a simmer pot, place the oil, bacon and onion, fry until the onion is transparent.
  2. Add the beans and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and dissolve very well.
  4. Continue cooking for 5 more minutes, add and serve the soup accompanied by fried tortilla strips or nachos, cream, chipotle pepper and other complements of your preference.
